Robin Cunningham

After receiving a Ph.D. in mathematics, Robin taught college for four
years and received multiple teaching awards at the undergraduate level.
Later he worked for two years as a test developer for a major standardized
testing company - great preparation for taking actuarial exams! Since April 2004,
Robin has been working part-time as an author for actuarial science materials and
part-time as an actuary for
LTC Global Solutions and ACSIA
long term care insurance .
He received the FSA designation
in March of 2003 and knows first
hand what it is like trying to pass these exams while holding down
a full time job.
On preparing
others for actuarial exams: "This may be the only job out there
that can take advantage of all of my previous job experience!"

Nathan Hardiman

After finishing
school with a B.S. in Mathematics, Nathan worked as Quality Control
Manager for an automotive parts manufacturing company. After working for three
years, he returned to graduate school to earn a M.S.
in Statistics. While working as a graduate assistant, Nathan taught
several undergraduate statistics classes. In addition, he worked in
the University's Management Development Center - preparing manuals
and assisting with education seminars for professionals in industry.
Currently, Nathan is working in Asset Liability Management for a large
life insurance company. He has attained his FSA and MAAA designations.
Like his partner at ARCH Solutions, Nathan knows what it takes to
prepare for exams while maintaining family (married with three children)
and full-time work responsibilities.
On preparing
others for actuarial exams: "There is no substitute for time and
effort spent in preparation, but I believe ARCH is uniquely suited
to help students make the most of their valuable time."

Yufeng Guo

After receiving a B.S. in Physics and Master of Law, Yufeng worked as a law school professor at Zhengzhou
University, China for four years. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1996 and received a master's degree in
accounting at Indiana University. He currently works in valuation for a large life insurance company.
Yufeng has attained his ASA designation and knows what it takes to work full time, raise several
children, and pass actuarial exams.
On preparing
others for actuarial exams: "Don't rush to solve lots of practice problems.
Master the basics first."
